Qlife receives order for COVID-19 tests to European Women’s Handball Championship 2020
Qlife announces today that the company is entering into an agreement to deliver COVID-19 tests for the European Women’s Handball Championship 2020. The event will take place in Herning and Kolding, Denmark December 3-20. The testings will be performed daily, and the company expects approximately 5-6,000 tests during the tournament.
”We will do our utmost to protect the participating players against the coronavirus”, says Frank Smith, Covid-19 Officer, European Handball Federation Euro 2020 “It requires testing with high precision – as we know it from the healthcare system – and with answers the same day. Test capacity is key to complete the European Handball Championships during a pandemic, and we are very happy to have agreed on a partnership with Qlife”.
“We already carry out ongoing tests of handball, football and ice hockey players in Denmark’s top leagues and know how important it is that infection is detected early”, says Thomas Warthoe, CEO of Qlife. “Testing on an ongoing basis is crucial, so the infection does not spread with negative consequences for the players' health.”
The 16 countries that have qualified for the tournament are Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.
